ENSURING OPTIMUM GROWTH AND HEALTH OF CHICKS
It starts with day-old-chicks in our farms. From day one they are fed with nutritious, all natural feed that is specially formulated for optimum growth and health, and without any synthetic colours or artificial additives, to give you nutritious quality eggs.

SPECIALLY FORMULATED NATURAL FEED
The nutritional content of the egg is correlated to what the chickens eat. Because of this, we provide natural feed for our chickens so no artificial additives or preservatives can get into the eggs they produce. We have been in business for over 30 years. We are committed to maximise our knowledge and expertise to provide daily nourishment for families and individuals through good quality eggs.
WHAT THE CHICKENS EAT IS REFLECTED IN ITS EGGS
Our understanding of chicken’s biology through our research & development helps us to produce high quality all-natural feed that is specially formulated for the chicken’s health. The feed is made mainly from yellow corn, soya bean, wheat and added with several vitamins and minerals. The specially formulated feed is lower in fat content and higher in fibre content.
KEEPING THE DOCTOR AWAY
Our feed is also enriched with lactobacillus probiotic to enhance the health of our chickens. Should a flock of chickens be found to be sick, they will firstly be given vitamins supplement and extra care for them to recover.
KEEPING CLEAN
Cleanliness affects the health of chickens and the eggs they produce. QL farms employ strict hygiene and biosecurity measures that minimize the risk of viral and bacterial infection from the external environment, between chickens and from farm staff.
Chicken droppings are regularly and systematically collected and converted into bio-renewable energy. This keeps the chicken's environment clean and odour free while minimizing the risk of bacterial infection from chicken droppings.
When QL chickens are happy, healthy and stress free, they produce the best quality eggs with good nutritional content, free from synthetic colours.
PUTTING WASTE INTO GOOD USE
Conventionally, chicken manure is removed from chicken houses and dried to be sold as fertilizer. Collection and removal of chicken manure is very important to maintain a clean farm environment, minimizing odour and risk of bacterial infection.
QL is the first company in Malaysia to invest in a multi-million ringgit Biogas plant to manage the chicken manure in its poultry farm. In a Biogas plant, chicken manure is treated to produce biogas to generate electricity. This free and renewable electricity is environmentally friendly, while the treated chicken manure can be further processed into organic fertilizer, further contributing to a clean green environment.
KEEPING COOL
Harsh weather such as heat and cold can affect the health and the stress levels of the chicken and hence the quality of the eggs. Our chickens live in relaxing cool chicken houses equipped with cutting edge technology that allows for regulated climates, keeping chickens in stable and comfortable temperatures.
This minimizes the risk of chickens falling sick and keeps them stress free to produce good quality eggs.
COLLECTION AND SORTING
QL Eggs are specially selected from the chickens that are healthy and in their best productive age. Eggs freshly laid by chickens are collected and transported via automatic conveyor belting system from the chicken house to the egg house twice daily. The eggs are first sorted manually to remove the dirty and cracked ones, and thereafter sorted again through an automatic egg grading machine to determine their size and grade.
After grading, the eggs are again manually selected to ensure that only clean and quality eggs are used for QL Eggs.
PACKAGING AND TRANSPORT
QL Eggs are carefully packed in solid trays and double-walled carton boxes to ensure the stability of the egg contents. They are delivered daily to ensure fresh nutrition for you and your family.
